About GlintKit

A free collection of micro-tools built on a simple conviction: useful software shouldn't spy on you.

The short version — GlintKit is a set of fast, focused tools (BMI calculator, unit converter, password generator, and more) that run entirely in your browser. No servers process your data. No trackers follow you around. Everything is free, forever.

Our Mission

GlintKit exists because the internet is cluttered with "free" tools that are only free in the sense that you pay with your data. Run a BMI check on most sites and you hand over your search behavior to advertisers. Generate a password and it's logged on a server somewhere. Ask a tip calculator to split your dinner bill and three analytics scripts load before the page does.

We think that's a bad deal. The tools on GlintKit do one job — they calculate, convert, or generate the thing you asked for — and then they're done. No data leaves your device. There's nothing to log because there's no server on the other end.

Our mission is to build a genuinely useful digital toolkit that respects the people who use it. "Free" should mean free, not "we're monetizing your behavior."

Who Built GlintKit

GlintKit was built by a software engineer based in Dubai, UAE, with a background in web development and a strong interest in digital privacy. The project started in 2025 as a personal experiment: could a collection of everyday tools be built without any back-end infrastructure at all — no databases, no user-tracking APIs, no analytics dashboards?

The answer turned out to be yes. Every tool on GlintKit is written in plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There are no frameworks, no build pipelines, no external dependencies beyond Google Fonts and Material Symbols for typography and icons. The result is a site that loads fast, works offline once cached, and has no technical surface area to leak your data through.

GlintKit is an independent project. It is not backed by a venture fund, uses minimal, non-intrusive advertising to keep the tools free, and does not share user data with third parties.

The Privacy-First Approach

Most websites that collect your data do so because it's profitable, not because it's necessary. GlintKit was designed from the ground up to make data collection structurally impossible, not just technically avoided.

Here's what that looks like in practice:

Competitors in this space often treat privacy as a feature to advertise while quietly doing the opposite. We'd rather just build things the right way and let the approach speak for itself.

How We Build Tools

Every GlintKit tool is a self-contained HTML file. This is an intentional architectural choice, not a technical limitation. Self-contained pages:

The tools are built using standard web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript. No React, no Vue, no bundlers. This keeps the codebase simple and means the tools will continue to work for years without maintenance overhead from dependency updates.

What's Next

GlintKit now offers 129 tools across 8 categories — and we're still growing. We're continually adding new utilities, refining existing tools based on user feedback, and expanding our educational blog content.

Our focus remains the same: build useful tools that respect your privacy. No accounts required to use the tools. No user data collected or sold. Just fast, focused utilities that run entirely in your browser.

If there's a tool you'd like to see added, or feedback on an existing one, we'd genuinely love to hear from you.
